Hello, I’m Dr. Sheldon L. Jackson, Pastor of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church here in the Fifth Ward area of Houston, Texas.
I’m so grateful to have the experience of meeting Brother Selvin Young, founder of Farm to Neighborhoods, who has been such an angel from the LORD to BLESS the church and the community through Farm to Neighborhoods.
I’m excited about what the Lord has done today. Our people came and they worked diligently. I want to thank my wife, Sister Glo Jackson for being right by my side helping to organize.
Our Preachers, Deacons, and both of our Chairmans were here and many of our members came to lend a hand, their energy, strength, and endurance.
They worked tirelessly to make this a wonderful day and people came to the church to receive food and we went through the neighborhood with trucks loaded with boxes of food and milk.
And it was just a joy to be out in the neighborhood taking food and blessings HIS people.
