Member of the Month of January Sis. Aresha Hayter
Member of the month – Sis. Aresha Hayter
It is with great pleasure that we begin 2025 featuring one of our own who has stayed close to home, and accomplished a lot in her personal, professional, and spiritual life.
Sis. Aresha stayed home to be near family and completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Houston. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science in Human Resources Management. Sis. Aresha currently works in the oil & gas industry as a Human Resources Specialist.
In addition to her full-time job, Sis. Aresha serves as a professional mentor for young women in junior high and high school. She guides them as they navigate career paths using the Word of God, along with her academic knowledge as her tools. Sis. Aresha draws on her own experience growing up in the inner-city with a godly single Mother, as she seeks to empower young women starting on their own journey. She says, “I am a witness that God will fulfill every promise and exceed all expectations”.
Sis. Aresha, also, has a passion for young children and can be seen bringing her niece to church on Sundays. Her family are faithful and active members of Pleasant Grove: Her Mom, Sis. Josephine Johnson and her siblings, Sis. Myoshia and Bro. Willie Hayter. They are a wonderful testimony to the impact of the “Street Ministry”. They were encouraged to join us and have remained an integral part of our church family. Sis. Aresha feels privileged and says,” I am utterly at a loss for words to fully express my heartfelt gratitude for God’s goodness and favor, which covered my mom as she raised me and my siblings with next to nothing. The church family loved and supported us, and we are forever grateful”.
As Sis. Aresha looks towards the future with great anticipation, she says,” God has always been the center of my life and all that I have accomplished. I am deeply thankful for the incredible upbringing I’ve had here at Pleasant Grove. I owe all my accomplishments to God and recognize that I wouldn’t be at this point in my life without the strong foundation provided by the late Pastor Dr. C.L. Jackson and our present Pastor Dr. Sheldon L. Jackson.”
Let’s show Sis. Aresha some love and support in the comments below and keep her lifted in our prayers.
