Let’s close out the year celebrating our December Member of the Month, Sis. Sharonda Adkins.

Sis. Sharonda is a lifelong member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she is grateful to serve under an amazing pastor, Dr. S. L. Jackson and alongside a loving church family. She is the daughter of the late Sis. Theresa Hall and the niece of Sis. Connie Hawkins. Her association with the Pleasant Grove family started at the age of nine, singing with the Little Folks Choir under the direction of Sis. Gina Goosby. She was promoted to the Young Adult Choir where she continued to serve under the leadership of the late Bro. Dwayne Davis, Dea. Brandon Ledgister and Sis. Cynthia
Johnson.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Science and an MBA in Healthcare Management. Sis. Sharonda currently works in medical device sales as a BD Peripheral Intervention (PI) Procedural Specialist. Her role is a mix of sales support, technical training and clinical case coverage. As a sales consultant, she offers a comprehensive range of products: devices and services for the treatment of peripheral arterial and venous disease, cancer detection, end-stage renal disease and maintenance. As a technologist, she promotes and provides clinical support and education on BD PI products to physicians and hospital staff. Her days start early in the operating room or Cath lab and frequently end late as she travels around Houston spreading her knowledge and expertise.

Her favorite passage of Scripture is II Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” She says it gives her confidence as she interacts with physicians and hospital staff with differing personalities and demeanors.

Sis. Sharonda likes to travel, work out and spend time with friends and family in her spare time. She gives God all the glory for the countless blessings in her life and remains excited and expectant for all that he has in store for her future. Let’s continue to pray that, Sis. Sharonda will exemplify God’s love and grace as she encounters physicians and hospital staff throughout the Houston and Pasadena area
daily.
