This month we are celebrating Bro. Anthony Hamilton II as our member of the month for August 2025.

It seems like we have known Bro. Anthony all his life and watched him grow up to be a tall, handsome, well-mannered and considerate gentleman. The son of Associate Pastor Anthony Hamilton Sr. and Sis. Lawanda Hamilton. The nephew of Deacon Ralph Hamilton and Sis. Sue Hamilton. The brother of Sis. Shaqueena Harvey and Sis. Jada Hamilton; and the uncle of Brad Jr. and Savanna. The Hamilton family has been loyal supporters at Pleasant Grove for many years, and we admire their faithfulness and steadfastness.

A graduate of Sam Houston State University with a Batchelor’s degree in Business Administration and a minor in Management, Bro. Anthony is currently working as a service coordinator in the HVAC industry. His goal is to become a member of the managerial team. Not only is he business-minded but he is also creative. His talents can be seen in his graphic designs, videography, photography and artwork.

Bro. Anthony says, “I thank God for all the success I’ve experienced both academically and personally. My family and I have been attending Pleasant Grove since I was young. During my youth, I served in the Youth and Young Adult Choir, as well as on the Usher Board. Attending church consistently has taught me the importance of having God in my life. I have grown in my faith by hearing powerful and impactful sermons from the late, great Pastor Dr. C.L. Jackson and from my current Pastor Dr. Sheldon L. Jackson.

Proverbs 3:5-6 has instructed me not to lean on my own understanding and Romans 8:28 tells me to trust God to work out all things according to my good and His perfect will.”

Away from church, Bro. Anthony enjoys spending time with his family and playing basketball. He is grateful for all the relationships he has made at Pleasant Grove and says, “I would like to extend my deepest thanks to my entire church family, who have supported me and my family throughout the years”.

Let’s show Bro. Anthony some love and support in the comments below and keep him lifted up in our prayers.
